Going "Green": Why should you care?

Presented by: James C. Cascone, Principal with Deloitte

James will be giving on overview of "Green" Perspectives, touching on Key External Drivers, how Going “Green” will enhance stakeholder value, discuss potential pitfalls and share with us a Case Study in Going "Green"

James C. Cascone is a Principal with Deloitte & Touche LLP (“Deloitte”) in the Audit & Enterprise Risk Services (AERS) function.  He is the national AERS co-leader of the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability practice, and the Pacific Southwest cross-functional regional leader.  He is also a member of the Deloitte Global Corporate Responsibility Council.


James has over 15 years experience providing business process and information technology internal audit services to the consumer & industrial products (C&IP) industry. In addition to his internal audit experience, James has performed corporate responsibility & sustainability risk assessments, performance management program reviews, and operational efficiency audits. 

James has been actively involved in the IIA and the internal audit profession throughout his career, has served as past president of the IIA San Diego chapter, and is currently Vice Chairman of the IIA’s global Communications Advisory Committee (Editorial Advisory Board). James is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). 

James graduated from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics, and a professional accounting certificate from the University of California , San Diego . He is a member of Global Green USA, the World Affairs Council, and resides on the Corporate Responsibility Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce. He is fluent in French and Italian.
